The United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP), which is based in Geneva and provides support through its branch in New York, advises the UN General Secretary in the areas of Sport for development needs and peace.
The UNOSDP identified the AMANDLA programme as “best practice” model after multiple examinations by Wilfied Lemke, the special advisor to the UN General Secretary in the areas of sport and development.
In addition AMANDLA youth leaders regularly take part in international Youth Leadership Camps organised by UNOSDP.
